Hauppauge, New York – (November 23, 2014) – On the evening of December 10, from 6-8 PM (EST), Globecomm will host an important meeting of the Northeast Chapter of the Society of Satellite Professionals International (SSPI) at Globecomm’s award-winning teleport and global headquarters facility in Hauppauge (Long Island), New York. The program will present a case study with key tactics and thoughts on a subject that is of relevance to broadcasters and content distributors in the region: design and implementation of the next generation of IP broadcast networks.
According to SSPI, the distribution of video content everywhere is top of mind, methods are being increasingly refined and significant investments have been made by blue chip broadcasters seeking these next-generation networks. An industry white paper produced for NAB, as well as a new case study from a major American broadcaster, has set a series of real world, groundbreaking steps in motion. Globecomm wrote that paper and is doing work for blue chip broadcasters in the New York area, and will share its insights in a detailed presentation. A networking event will follow.
The event is free of charge and supported by Globecomm and SSPI.
“Globecomm is pleased to host the SSPI Northeast chapter meeting and we invite members and non-members to attend this event to learn more about what their customers and vendors are doing to enable what we call ‘the broadcasting of everything,’” said Globecomm’s Vice President for Sales and Marketing, Paul Scardino.
