Globecomm and Gannexion Expand Their E-Welfare Platform for Government Operations in the EMEA Region

Biddinghuizen, Netherlands & Hauppauge, New York

Globecomm announced today that it has partnered with Gannexion to provide e-welfare services in the African nation of Mali, providing communications and morale support for on-site personnel. The Mali installation expands on a network of facilities served by Gannexion and Globecomm in Afghanistan, Turkey and other EMEA nations.

Services are provided via satellite using Globecomm’s UK and Netherlands teleport, and each remote site features a satellite dish, Wi-Fi and GSM antennas for local delivery of radio, television, voice and data services, as well as video teleconferencing sessions (VTC) that enable families to interact with their loved ones and friends at the camp location. Rhe partner companies provide network services, 24×7 monitoring and onsite personnel at each camp to support operations and provide maintenance.

“Together with Globecomm, we plan to continue the provisioning of innovative and custom-made services especially for governmental organizations where security and reliability is imperative,” said Joost de Jong, Director of Gannexion B.V. “I am confident that more successes in this field will follow on short term.”
