Drilling with Data

Despite worries over climate change, the world depends on fossil fuels to power our businesses, heat and cool our homes, cook our meals and move our vehicles. Investment in renewables has grown fivefold since 2000, but experts expect us to still be getting 75% of our energy from fossil fuels in 2035. Upstream and midstream operations increasingly depend on data – in addition to drilling mud and pipeline valves – to feed the world’s hunger for energy. At energy shows in May and June, Globecomm will showcase cost-effective solutions for the connectivity that data-intensive energy operations require.
